Sip Outside | Best Rooftops and Patios in Bozeman

July 13, 2022

It’s that time of the year again (personally, our favorite) – outdoor dining and drinks! There is just something about immersing yourself in nature and the buzz of the neighborhood by grabbing a bite to eat or a drink outside. Days and sunlight are longer, which gives you the opportunity to soak up the sun a little longer and dining on a patio or rooftop gives you the chance to seize the time we have.

Elite Outdoor Patios

Bacchus Pub
This historic hang is nestled inside the historic Baxter Hotel right on Main Street and defines a “neighborhood pub”. They have 24 rotating tap beers, handmade classic cocktails, and a beautiful outdoor patio to catch up with friends, make some new ones, and take in the beautiful scenery. This pub opened as a coffee shop back in 1929, and the name change came in the 1960s, though the space itself remains largely unchanged.

Seven
This authentic Japanese restaurant specialized in hand-rolled sushi and Japanese fusion appetizers and entrees. They source only sustainably harvested fish and invite you to pair your meal with a wide variety of beer, wine, and sake. Their peaceful outdoor patio features beautiful outdoor lighting, sunshades, and warming heaters for the chillier nights.

Pizza Campania
This unique patio stop offers specialty classic Neapolitan pizzas which they bake in their hand-built wood fire oven. They have specialty Italian wines to pair with the various pizza options, and a beautiful patio where you can even bring your four-legged friends to join you for dinner. Many diners compliment the clear view of the stars from the outdoor seating, and the ample parking available.

Revelry
Leash up your pup and make your way over to Revelry, a neighborhood eatery that serves a wholesome and savory menu palate that celebrates Montana’s roots by cooking with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Not only does Revelry boast a great, large outdoor patio space, but the walls of garage doors can open up and bring that fresh Montana air into the restaurant as well.

Plonk
This local restaurant is poised for the wine-lover in your life. They have a gorgeous private patio out back adorned with fresh flowers, unique lighting, and original brick buildings providing an intimate setting. The pride themselves in providing a comfortable atmosphere where people can enjoy pairing food, wine, and live music.

Sidewall Pizza
Although famous for their twisted breadsticks, Sidewall has a lot more to offer. Their patio is unlike any around; described as a “park-like” setting with mature trees and an outdoor bar. They take pride in being a family-friendly pizza spot run by locals, for locals in Bozeman. They specialize in thin crust pizzas, fresh salads, and rich homemade ice cream.

Map Brewing Co.
Settled in the foothills of the Bridger Mountains since 2015, Map Brewing Co. has been offering up award-winning beers, killer service, delicious (and made from scratch from local ingredients!) food, all topped off with world class views. They pride themselves in being a part of the local community by providing an incredible gathering space for people of all walks of life. Their patio is open for basking in the summer sun or warming your toes by the fireplace in the winter.

Outlaw Brewing
Outlaw touts themselves as ‘your friendly neighborhood brewery’. Located behind the Target shopping center on North 27th in a large and blossoming residential area, they have the capacity to produce both small and large batches of beer. This gives them the freedom to experiment and explore different beer styles, and oftentimes you’ll find them with 11 beers on tap in their tasting room. Grab your favorite and head out to their patio, where you can pair your suds with the offerings of rotating local food trucks. To top it off, patrons rave about the delicious free popcorn!

Café Zydeco
Nestle into comfortable dining with the refreshed atmosphere of Café Zydeco. The recent facelift added space indoors, more parking outside, and a spacious patio with optional covered or uncovered seating areas. Their menu brings the unique flavors of the South to Montana with options such as po’boys, beignets, and oysters that you will be challenged to find anywhere else in Bozeman!
